Ayahuasca is a sacred brew prepared from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and the Psychotria viridis leaf, used for thousands of years by indigenous communities throughout the Amazon basin. At Mariri, ceremonies are held with deep reverence for the Shipibo-Konibo tradition — one of the most respected healing lineages in the plant medicine world.
Each ceremony is a guided journey into the deeper layers of your being. Ayahuasca is known as "la abuela" — the grandmother — for her quality of revealing truth with both clarity and compassion. She may show you the roots of patterns that no longer serve you, bring unresolved grief or trauma to the surface for healing, or open you to states of profound gratitude and connection.
Ceremonies at Mariri take place in our octagon ceremony deck, lit by firelight and held within sacred icaros — healing songs sung by our trained facilitators. The space is intentionally small and intimate: no more than 12 participants per ceremony, ensuring that each person receives attentive care throughout the night.
Integration is as important as the ceremony itself. Mariri builds dedicated integration time into every retreat, and our team remains available for support in the days and weeks that follow.
