Integration Circle

Facilitated group sharing circles for making meaning of ceremony — the held space where experience becomes understanding.

Ceremony opens doors. Integration is the work of walking through them. In the hours, days, and weeks after a plant medicine experience, what we choose to do with what arose determines whether the insights become lasting change or fade back into the background of the habitual mind.

Integration Circles at Mariri are facilitated group sharing sessions that bring retreat participants together in a structured, held space after ceremony. Each person has the opportunity to speak — to name what they experienced, what they feel grateful for, what they are confused by, what they are carrying. The group listens in deep presence without advice, without interpretation, without fixing.

This kind of witnessed sharing is extraordinarily powerful. When we articulate an experience in the presence of others who have walked similar terrain, the experience crystallizes. What felt ineffable finds language. What felt shameful finds companionship. What felt confusing finds context.

Beyond the immediate post-ceremony space, we also offer ongoing integration circles as standalone programs — designed for people who have had past psychedelic experiences and are seeking community, support, and a held space to continue the lifelong process of integrating what they have seen.

Integration circles are facilitated by experienced practitioners trained in psychedelic integration support, trauma-informed care, and group facilitation.

Lineage & Tradition

The practice of group sharing circles has roots in indigenous council traditions across cultures — the talking circle of Native American traditions, the council practices of various ceremonial lineages, and the contemporary harm-reduction and psychedelic integration community. Our facilitators have trained with organizations including MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Science.

Preparation

Come as you are. Bring whatever you are holding from your ceremony experience — including confusion, grief, joy, or the sense that you cannot find words for what happened. There is no pressure to speak if you would rather listen. Integration circles are held in strict confidentiality. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
