Yoga Teacher Training

A 200-hour Yoga Alliance–certified teacher training immersed in the Tulum jungle.

Mariri's 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is a transformative 21-day immersion for those called to deepen their practice and share it with others. Set in the Tulum jungle, the program combines rigorous technical training with the inner alchemy that comes from plant medicine, ceremony, and deep contemplative practice.

The curriculum covers all Yoga Alliance required content: asana technique and sequencing, anatomy and physiology, philosophy and history, pranayama, meditation, and teaching methodology. What distinguishes our YTT is the context: students learn not only how to teach yoga, but how to hold space — a skill that is forged through their own inner work during the program.

Optional ayahuasca ceremonies and temazcal are available during the training for those who choose to deepen their practice through plant medicine. These are never required and never pressured; the program is complete and transformative without them. Many graduates describe the YTT as the most significant experience of their lives.

Graduates receive a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification (RYT-200) and leave equipped to teach in studios, retreat centers, and private settings worldwide.

Lineage & Tradition

Our YTT draws primarily from the Hatha and Vinyasa lineages with strong influence from Iyengar alignment principles, somatic and trauma-sensitive practices, and the yoga philosophies of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita. Lead instructors hold advanced teacher qualifications with decades of combined teaching experience.

Preparation

A regular yoga practice of at least 6–12 months is recommended before attending. This does not need to be daily, but you should have a working familiarity with common poses and basic breathing practices. Arrive open, humble, and ready to go much deeper than you expect. The training is immersive and requires full attendance.
